Catalog Software Glossary: Attribute

  Attribute

In Apsiva, attributes are entities that define properties of items, or categories. Attributes usually consist of a name (or key) and value. For example, in computer graphics, line objects can have different kinds of attributes such as thickness (with real values), color (with descriptive values such as brown or green or values defined in a certain color model, such as RGB), dashing attributes, etc.

If the object is In an item record, the "SKU Number" is an attribute. Similarly an Item can have various other attributes such as item description, unit of measure, list price etc.

Apsiva Attribute management is an integral part of ONEsource. Apsiva gives you the ability to define and alter attributes on-the-fly. This does not require any database change or technical knowledge. Apsiva additionally has a strong data validation model that ties with attributes to ensure that catalog content is captured without any errors.
